Corporate Environmental Achievement Award
Deadline for Nominations: January 9, 2008 The Board of Trustees of the Society recognizes that many of its Corporate Members have made significant but largely unrecognized improvements in the stewardship of our environment. In 1997, the annual Corporate Environmental Achievement Award (CEAA) was established to honor outstanding environmental achievements made by Corporate Members in the field of ceramics. These achievements represent either:
The Nominating Process Any member can submit a nomination on behalf of an organization, which must be a current corporate member or join as a corporate member in order to qualify for the award. Nominations should consist of a concise description of the achievement (500 words maximum) outlining its significance and its impact on the environment. Appropriate backup documents that would further aid in the evaluation also are requested. It is strongly recommended that these backup documents be closely coordinated with the summary description. Nominations will be evaluated, and the winners selected will be forwarded to the Board of Directors for approval. Those nominees not selected for an award will remain eligible for two years. Joint nominations in which two or more companies have combined resources to develop a process and/or product can be submitted. In this case, it is recommended that a representative from one company be selected to coordinate the effort and act as a spokesperson. To better understand what is expected, read the evaluation process instructions given to subcommittee members as a basis for judging the nominations.
