Materials Innovations in an Emerging Hydrogen Economy is a new biannual conference that provides an opportunity for global experts in the hydrogen field to discuss materials needs and new technologies related to hydrogen-based alternative energy sources.
This conference has a unique interdisciplinary focus, which will generate discussion on applications and technologies in the areas of hydrogen production, storage, delivery and leakage detection.
Emphasis will be placed on materials innovations in an emerging hydrogen economy and key questions of importance to current and future researchers and end users will be addressed. Also offered are introductory tutorials, exciting special activities and much, much more!
Don't forget to make your hotel reservations at the Hilton Oceanfront Hotel in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Special rates for conference attendees are available until February 8. Government room rates are still available so make your hotel room reservations today!
This conference is organized by The American Ceramic Society and ASM International and endorsed by The National Hydrogen Association (NHA) and the Society for the Advancement of Material and Process Engineering (SAMPE).
Many thanks to our generous conference sponsors:

Special attention will be given to the practical application of technology in the context of the larger ‘system’ rather than at a component level view. Presentations will contain the latest research and developments on applications in the areas of automotive, aerospace, military, medical products, nanotechnology and advanced materials.
The technical program will focus on research activities, materials needs, opportunities and sources for funding in the following four areas
In addition to an informative technical program, conference organizers have added some outstanding special activities for all conference attendees.
Ride and Drive Program
On Tuesday from 3:30-5:30 PM, a special ride and drive program is
offered to all conference participants.
Don't miss this exciting opportunity to test drive Hydrogen-powered vehicles from Ford and Toyota.
This is your opportunity to experience first-hand how hydrogen has been utilized as a power source!
Feature Speaker - Dr. Addison Bain
In his presentation on Monday evening, Dr. Bain will address the question, "Is hydrogen a safe and viable fuel for the future, or has its potential been diminished by misconceptions, including those surrounding the Hindenberg disaster?" His historical and scientific research has produced interesting findings, including conclusions on the real cause of the disaster and the role of the lacquer and metal-based materials used on the outer hull of the airship. This is one presentation that you won't want to miss!
This conference is organized for the global hydrogen community and interested parties, including end users and researchers in government, academia, and industry. The conference is ideal for those working in the field of materials for hydrogen generation, storage and distribution and for anyone interested in participating in this emerging technology.
New to the field? Special tutorials will be included to help orient and introduce the hydrogen field to individuals new to this area and highlight the needs and opportunities that exist.
Join this diverse group of forward-thinking people who are interested in making an impact on the future. Make your plans to participate in this conference! Register Today!
