Measurement Solutions for Nano EHS ~ Archive
The goal of the NIST program in Nano EHS is to develop new measurement methods and standards and to elucidate the underlying measurement science for physico-chemical characterization of nanoparticles (NPs) to enable manufacturers and regulators to assess the EHS risks of NPs, act to minimize such risks, and remediate existing hazards.
The NIST workplan encompasses the following three elements: • Development of methods to quantify the interactions of nanoparticles with biological fluids and cells.
• Kalman Migler, Group Leader, National Institute of Standards and Technology
