Total Citations – No. 1 in Ceramics
There has been a lot of attention on impact factors for journals, but ISI also publishes total citations and half lives. In 2005, the Journal of the American Ceramic Society had 22,639 total citations in the ISI database. On the basis of total citations, the Journal ranks first in the entire field of ceramics science.
The message is clear that if authors wish their work to leave a permanent record, the Journal of the American Ceramic Society is the place to publish.
